Weapon Y/Z - Disposable Life

Don't Download This

My own shit, but you need to hear it. This album is 13 short tracks that were written one at a time in sequential order. The sound varies, but it's largely fast and anthematic, with a lot of punk and digital hardcore influence. Don't let me ramble though I'll just get pretentious.

YARD APES - DEMO A

DOWNLOAD AND DANCE

YARD APES makes spaced out chiptune in the vein of Crystal Castles, but more distorted and eclectic. It's hard to describe but it's short and enjoyable so check it ooooooooout.

ZOMBIESHARK! - A Sinking Ship

POWER ON
Good example of "nintendocore" done right. Short songs, raspy vocals, chiptune leads, breakdowns, rythmic NES game samples, everything you expect is here. Unlike most in the genre though, this is well produced and the songs are generally more thought out.

Girls Names

endless happiness

Just three people recording in a closet. Girls Names is drum machine cybergrind with senseless lyrics and stupidly catchy girl vocals and it fucking rules. Happy Hellospleen is their most recent, but all of their releases are short and fun. They've found to put out one monthly through at least next March, and that in it's own is admirable. Follow these dude(ette)s!

Snailhead - Eating Animals

Download this.

Snailhead returns with a conventional full-length. Though I miss the brevity of "The Image," there are a lot of nice vibes and catchy tracks here. There's more exploration of the hip-hop elements from the last song on that previous album which is more than welcome.

Xrin Arms - Drugganaut Trashedelix

NO QUESTIONS. JUST DOWNLOAD

Experimental duo Xrin Arms reinvents themselves with a hip-hop/cybergrind/pychadelic/digital hardcore hybrid that rules harder than I'll be able to describe in words. Just listen.
